Does my phone
support eSIM?
The fastest check: dial *#06#. If you see an EID number, your phone supports eSIM. It also has to be carrier-unlocked — ask your operator if you're not sure.
Exceptions. Phones locked to an operator can't add another eSIM until they're unlocked. Most iPhones sold in mainland China don't support eSIM. Some models sold in specific countries lack eSIM even when the same model elsewhere has it — the *#06# test is the one that counts.
